Working in partnership with key English Heritage staff to oversee the delivery of the programme, engaging with established and new community groups, partners and volunteers, encouraging active participation with our identified free to enter heritage sites and their landscapes through the delivery of this pilot community grants programme.What's more, as part of our charity bringing history to life, you'll be supported and encouraged to share your ideas, inspire others and make a difference to the way England's rich past is experienced.As our Community Connections Manager, you will develop and lead with the delivery of the Community Grants Project across the NorthYou will be responsible for developing and implementing an inspiring and impactful community grants programme in line with the National Heritage Lottery Fund, Activity Plan's agreed priorities, objectives and targets, and to take primary responsibility for the successful delivery of the programme.You'll liaise with and build effective relationships with English Heritage departmental staff in Historic Properties, Curatorial, Education, Volunteering and Events to develop and implement coordinated projects and programmes for the sites.You'll develop proactive relationships with diverse communities, by brokering new relationships with stakeholders, local groups and residents; to encourage understanding and participation and an active uptake in the CGPM grants and encourage longer term relationships.To be considered as the Community Connections Manager, you will need:- Excellent communication skills (written & oral), clarity & fluency.- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage own workload- Ability to prioritise and to show initiative- Understanding of volunteering and the voluntary sector- An understanding of the principles of good Health & Safety managementFind out more about us and what we do here, https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/about -us/ here.
