Smart Passive Income (SPI) is a beloved brand in the creator economy with its origins in the early days of blogging, podcasting, and YouTube. Job Overview:

The Community Manager (CM) involves developing and executing strategic community programs, fostering strong relationships with members and partners, leading and mentoring the community team, collaborating on content and community infrastructure, and driving engagement and growth initiatives to align with the company’s vision and mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategy to build and maintain programs and activities that will have a positive impact on the community.

  • Build and maintain relationships with members of the community, key individuals, and other organizations.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for partner, community members, and internal SPI team.

  • Be the principal ambassador for the organization, with responsibilities for delivering the company’s vision within the community.

  • Act as a mentor to the Community Manager (CX) team members and contractors to assist their professional development and ensure they are aligned with strategic initiatives.

  • Collaborate with curriculum specialist to support content is being updated and created.

  • Collaborate with our product specialist to develop and maintain our community infrastructure.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Create and drive the strategic vision of community growth, insights, programming, and moderation.

  • Organize and support community events to promote brand awareness and membership growth.

  • Attend community events and partnership calls to represent the company and build strong relationships.

  • Continuously evaluate our customer journey for improvements and ensure it is aligned with our ideal customer persona (ICP).

  • Collaborate with our marketing team on community marketing output and to enhance the online profile of the company.

  • Hire, train, and supervise community team members. Work with directors to ensure that programs are effective, sustainable, achieve the desired impact, and are aligned with the overall mission and vision. 

  • Model and cultivate a strong and healthy workplace culture with a whole-person approach to management and supervision. 

  • Establish and maintain a relationship with each Expert in Residence (EIR) and manage programming 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years proven leadership experience in public or private communities.

  • Experience with community metric benchmarking and analysis in the service of larger initiatives.

  • Experience in community moderation tooling, software, and systems.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive or controversial subjects with tact, kindness, and professionalism.

    • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build strategic relationships and partnerships with individuals and organizations.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.

    • Ability to think critically, analyze problems, and contribute to leadership direction.

    • Driving our community engagement programs, with a priority focus on accelerators, challenges, and new course content.
