About the Job

We're seeking a passionate Developer Relations (DevRel) Specialist to join our early-stage startup. As a DevRel Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in building and nurturing our developer community, driving adoption of our platform, and fostering meaningful relationships with developers, partners, and stakeholders. You'll be instrumental in championing our technology, gathering feedback, and advocating for developers' needs within our organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Community Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between our startup and the developer community, fostering engagement through various channels such as forums, social media, and developer events.

• Developer Advocacy: Advocate for our platform by creating compelling content, tutorials, and documentation to empower developers to build on our technology stack.

• Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to developers, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and escalating feedback to the appropriate teams.

• Evangelism and Outreach: Represent our startup at industry events, conferences, and meetups to evangelize our technology, gather insights, and establish partnerships.

• Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from developers regarding their experience with our platform, features, and tools, and communicate insights to the product and engineering teams for continuous improvement.

• Educational Initiatives: Develop and deliver educational workshops, webinars, and training sessions to educate developers about our platform and its capabilities.

• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and marketing to align developer initiatives with business goals and priorities.

Skills & Experience

• Passion for Technology: Demonstrated passion for technology, developer communities, and emerging trends in software development.

• Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with our technology stack (NextJS, Supabase, GraphQL) and enthusiasm for learning new technologies.

• Empathy and Patience: Empathetic approach to understanding developers' needs and challenges, coupled with patience in providing support and guidance.

• Community Building: Previous experience in community building, developer advocacy, or related roles is a plus.

• Initiative and Adaptability: Proactive attitude towards problem-solving, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Team Player: Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and remote teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, but not required. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
