Strategic Partnerships Manager
Position Overview
If you’re relentless about building revenue-generating partnerships, leading sales processes from the ground up, and still get excited about outbound sales emails, this role is for you.
We’re not just looking for someone with a strong sales background. You need to know how to grow partnerships that align with our mission, understand the nuances of different partnership types, and have the drive to take our affiliate program, community partnerships, and content sponsorships to new heights.
You love working at the intersection of strategy and execution—identifying opportunities, creating value, and building relationships that directly contribute to revenue. From vetting companies that will offer valuable resources to our private community, to negotiating large-scale affiliate deals that have the potential to generate millions in revenue, you’ll be hands-on in every aspect of building this department.
This role isn’t isolated. You’ll collaborate closely with our marketing, content, and community teams to ensure our partnerships deliver value across every channel—from newsletters and social platforms to our private community. You’ll develop sponsorship and affiliate programs, identify high-quality partners, and build a scalable structure that supports both short- and long-term company growth.
You’ll start by getting your hands dirty, leading sales efforts and closing initial deals. But as the department grows, you’ll have the opportunity to hire and lead a team, shaping the future of strategic partnerships at our fast-scaling company.
Though you’ll begin working across multiple areas—content sponsorships, community partnerships, and affiliate sales—there’s plenty of room to focus on your strengths as we expand. Necessary Skills and Qualifications
Here’s a list of primary skills and qualifications we believe are necessary for this career:
5+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or a similar role with a proven track record of building and growing revenue streams.
Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills, with experience managing multiple partnership types (content sponsorships, community partnerships, affiliate programs).
Experience developing sales processes, tracking metrics, and optimizing for long-term growth.
Ability to start as a one-person team, sell and close deals, and create scalable processes for future hires.
Entrepreneurial mindset—you’re self-driven, proactive, and excited to build something new from the ground up.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
Proven ability to hit revenue targets, with a deep understanding of the affiliate and sponsorship landscape.
A problem-solver; you identify opportunities, propose solutions, and execute with precision.

The “Silver Tsunami” is in full effect, with Baby Boomers retiring and their businesses needing a succession plan.

Salary: $100,000 + performance bonus ($250k OTE)

Please note: This hybrid position requires regular in-person collaboration in Austin, Texas. Applicants must reside within a 1-hour drive of Austin, Texas to be considered.
